TYR ELECTRIC VEHICLE

With automation and ride share becoming a growing trend, We made it our goal to revitalize the interest in privatized vehicle ownership for future generations. This objective gave birth to TYR.

Our target audience Gen Zs not yet financially capable of purchasing a vehicle but young enough to be persuaded. We did extensive research to tailor to their future dreams and aspirations of vehicle ownership.

We focused on customizability ensuring every unique lifestyle would be supported by our TYR platform. The forward cab design makes TYR an interior spacious and compact city EV. While being a twin cab off-road truck encourages the weekend warrior to escape the everyday hustle and bustle to write their own story.

From this project I learned how to effectively implement research into my design decisions, ensuring that all design decisions are made to appeal to our target audience. As manufacturing lead it was my responsibility to help translate our virtual dreams into physical reality. I learned a lot of mechanical and technological skill from this project Including fiberglass, and Bondo. I greatly improved my 3D modeling as well as my workshop and foam core skills. The most important lesson from this project was my ability to work in a team. By combining and communicating our strengths we allocated our time efficiently. Together we were able to achieve our goal and build the TYR concept in four months.
